Also, more fun news!

We have started up a new performance troupe! We are working to be a high quality troupe in and around the Houston area.

Our plan is to have the schedule set up on a 3-month cycle. That way, every three months, we have the ability to bring new members in as they are ready.

If you are a current CDV student and have interest in the troupe, let me (Cahira) know. I’ll work with you to find out if you’re ready to join the troupe…and if you’re not ready, I’ll give you information and help for what you need to do so that you can get ready to join the troupe.

Also, we’re working on some performances in March. I’ll post more information as those dates get closer.

So, last year, I was quite the slacker and never did update our site very much. I apologize for my oversight.

However…I have made changes to almost every page on the website!

–Teachers are updated and current (though I’m still working on getting pictures put in for everyone).
–The Classes page was renamed to Class Fees (to make it actually represent what it was there for). Also, please note on the Class Fees that we are currently not offering the 3-month Unlimited card. Since we are offering so few classes at this point, we decided that the 5 and 10 class cards are sufficient for our (and your) needs.
–The Schedule page was renamed to Class Schedule. It’s now up to date.

If you see any issues with the pages, let me (Cahira) know. Hope to see you all in class soon!

So, we have been having lots of fun at the studio recently! All of our classes are growing, and we’ve been having lots of fun in class.

We’re still having classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Yoga Lola (see our Schedule page for times and a link to Lola’s website).

We will be having a performance at Coffee Oasis in Seabrook on October 23rd at 7:30pm.

We will be performing in the Bellydance Garden at Avant Garden on November 10th at 8:30pm.

Also, we’re taking input about our classes, studio situation, and several other topics in a poll that I’ve set up. If you would be interested in participating in the poll, email me (cahira(at)chansondevie.com) and ask to be sent the link for the poll. Also, please include if you are a current student, former student, or prospective student (we have a different poll for each group so that the questions are appropriately tailored).

I’ve been crazy busy recently and haven’t done a good job at updating our site.  So, here’s a concise summary about what’s been going on with CDV:

We’re still having classes each week at Yoga Lola studio in League City.

We just had a student night at Coffee Oasis in Seabrook a week ago.

We will be dancing at the League City Oak Tree festival on September 26 (I’ll post the time when I know it.  It’s already set, but I don’t remember the exact time right now).

We’ll be performing at Avant Garden (on Westheimer up in Houston) on the 2nd Tuesday of November.

Come join us for classes or performances.  We’d love to have you there!

Starting next Tuesday, our new class schedule will have classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Check the schedule page (link is on the sidebar) for more info.

Classes will be at the Yoga Lola Studio starting tomorrow. www.yogalola.com for more info on their studio. The studio is located on Hwy 3 about 1/2 a mile south of Hwy 96 in League City.
